Evaluation

For the purpose of evaluation, the year's record of work will be taken into account along with the marks of the annual examination.


The year's work consists of the following:

  • The unit test and the terminal exam.
  • The day to day written work, including composition, home work and daily lessons.
  • The individual traits of character, such as good conduct, regularity and responsibility, sense of co-operation, sociability, etc


STD I to III

For continuous assessment and to encourage learning through practice, the method followed for evaluation consists of worksheets, written assignments and oral assignments. Examinations are held twice a year. In addition, regular evaluations in class are also conducted.


STD IV and V

Students in Class IV and V are evaluated through three unit tests, and through mid-term exams and final yearly exams. The evaluations are done on the basis of theory papers and practical project works. In addition to the above, regular class tests will also be conducted.


STD VI to VIII

Students are evaluated through three unit tests, and through mid-term exams and final yearly exams. The evaluations are done on the basis of theory papers and practical project works. In addition to the above, regular class tests will also be conducted. Projects and assignments are evaluated


STD IX and X

There will be continuous evaluation through class tests (oral and written). Std IX: 3 unit tests (50 marks), 2 exams (80 + 20 marks) Std X: 1 unit test (50 marks), 1 mid-term exam (80 marks), 2 model exams 80 marks each.
